Indonesia’s Annual Inflation Cools in July
Indonesia’s annual inflation rate in July eased slightly from the previous month, the country’s statistics bureau said on Monday (1/8).
The consumer price index (CPI) rose 3.21 percent on a yearly basis, the bureau said, compared with 3.45 percent in June and the median forecast in a Reuters poll for July of 3.37 percent.
The core inflation rate, which strips out administered and volatile food prices, was an annualised 3.49 percent in July.
June’s core inflation was unchanged from the previous month.
On a monthly basis, the CPI increased 0.69 percent.
