In the effort to increase investment in Indonesia and to execute the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), the Government of Indonesia had done amendments to the provision list of business fields closed and open with certain requirements in the field of investment (Investment Negative List.

These amendments are stipulated in Presidential Decree (Perpres) No. 44 in 2016 on List of Business Fields Closed and Business Fields Open with Conditions to Investment, that was signed by President Joko Widodo on May 12, 2016.
